The research done by Fast Company magazine was to find which foods made a state unique by appearing most often on restaurant menus there.
And this study was extensive.
Fastco paired with Food Genius to study nearly 60 million items on 88,000 menus.
Additionally, studied were the regional food trends across America. Making that list were pecans, ranch dressing, green bell peppers, cheesesteaks, and green chilies.
