Star Wars stormtroopers marching to boost tourism

The march through the capitol city of Tunis has two goals. One is to preserve some of the last sets left from the original movie. The other is to draw visitors to a nation where tourism has taken a fast dive.

Buzzfeed reports the Tunisian National Office for Tourism, and a Star Wars fan club are joining forces for the event.

"We did this campaign to take advantage of these sets which are unique in the world, the only sites from the movies remaining," organizers said.

The push really started in March with a video showing C3PO, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and others dancing through the sets to the music of Pharrell Williams' "Happy."

That video already has nearly two million views and continues to grow. "It created a global buzz which makes us very happy," tourist officials said.

"We will try to keep working on this idea up until the release of the 2015 film."
