Tulsans are all too familiar with those orange cones all over the city.
One of the city’s busiest streets has been all torn up for quite some time, 71 Street.
The City of Tulsa tells KRMG one of the final steps in completing the project on 71st between Highway 75 and the Arkansas River will begin next week.
Starting Monday morning, crews will close a section of Elwood Avenue on the south side of 71st Street. One of the eastbound lanes of 71st will also be closed.
Crews only need a few days to repair a section of pavement there, so all lanes should be reopened by Thursday, July 10.
