We've learned University of Oklahoma guard Isaiah Cousins was shot Tuesday night in a New York City suburb.
Mount Vernon police tell The Journal News the Sooner basketball player was leaving his house, when he was grazed by a stray bullet in the shoulder. His injuries are not considered serious.
Cousins was said to be an innocent bystander, who wandered into a fight between two rivals gangs in the area.
Police say the fight between the two gangs started the previous day when several shots were fired at a car.
No word on if the person who shot Cousins was arrested.
As a sophomore last season, Cousins averaged 11 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists.
