Snow days force school schedule changes starting today

TULSA, Okla. - Thousands of students around Green Country will see a slight change in schedule after returning from spring break.

Many area school districts decided to add time to the school day in order to make up for snow days.

Brenda Clewer's 12-year-old son will have to wake up a little earlier to get to school on time.

"We'll see how it goes, but I think it'll be just fine. I don't think I'll have a problem with it with my schedule," Clewer said.

Clewer's son will also get out of school 15 minutes later than usual because he goes to Coweta Public Schools.

"I've only heard positive things because everyone wants to finish. They want to be done before summer starts, but I can see how some parents may have a tougher time," Clewer said.

Students that go to Owasso Public Schools and Coweta Public Schools will start 15 minutes earlier and end 15 minutes later.

Broken Arrow Public School students will only have to stay 15 minutes longer.

Some of the changes will last until the end of the semester and some will only last a month. FOX23 has collected more of those details for you:
