Tulsa, Okla. - Reports of crashes were coming in from all over Tulsa Wednesday morning, as snow and slush piles up on area roadways.
The situtation was especially bad on winding, hilly roads like Yale Avenue between 81st and 91st streets in the Signal Hill neighborhood, where multiple cars were sliding and some vehicles fell into the deep ditches on either side of the road.
"Gotta keep the wheels moving, and your gotta keep your momentum up, or especially on a sloped road, you're done," said one motorist.
Elsewhere, a woman and child in an SUV slid off Highway 169 near 41st Street.
Officials say they were taken to a hospital.
After about four hours, EMSA reported about a dozen crashes from the time the snow started falling around 6:00 a.m.
