Skiatook man dies in rollover accident near Avant

A Skiatook man died at the scene of an automobile crash in Osage County.

58-year old Jimmie Warren Mahan died about 4:07 p.m. Monday when his 2003 Ford truck left the roadway, rolled over and eventually hit a barn.

The accident happened when Mahan was northbound on Javine Hill Road .1-mile south of County Road 2192 near Avant, Oklahoma, in Osage County. 

Mahan was thrown out of the truck after it left the roadway to the left and over-corrected and then left the roadway to the right.

Mahan was thrown out of the truck before the truck went through a fence and collided with a barn.

He was ejected approximately 60 feet.

Mahan was alone in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
