CATOOSA, Okla. - Tulsa firefighters are working a 2-alarm fire at the Dollar General shopping center at Admiral and 193rd East Avenue near the Hard Rock Casino.
The call came in to TFD at 9:01 a.m.
Two and a half hours later, the scene remained active.
Sixteen Tulsa fire companies responded, along with at least one company from Catoosa, which was the first unit to arrive on the scene.
Asst. Fire Marshal Ricky Bruder told KRMG at the scene that initially firefighters made entry, but the roof of the Dollar General Store began to collapse, and at that point crews had to pull out and fight the fire from a defensive position.
It's unclear if the fire began at the Pizza restaurant on the very west end of the building, or in the Dollar General.
Both suffered heavy damage, and may be a total loss.
Other businesses suffered smoke damage, but no one was hurt.
The investigators have not been able to enter the building as of this writing.
