Shoppers encouraged to go local for Small Business Saturday

First there was Black Friday, then Cyber Monday.

Now there's Small Business Saturday.

The idea behind it is simple.

Amy Adkins with The Gadget Company at 15th and Boston tells KRMG that her store has participated in Small Business Saturday since it started in 2010.

Small Business Saturday is the brain child of executives at American Express.

American Express cardholders can get a one-time $10 rebate by spending at least $10 at participating retailers.
