Shooting victim is Tulsa homicide number one for 2018

Tulsa, Okla. — A shots-fired call turns into a shooting investigation near 5000 North Osage Drive.

Tulsa County Sheriff’s deputies received the call at 1:06 a.m. Thursday,  reporting five shots had been heard at 300 West 50 Street North.

The victim was located within the city limits by Tulsa police at the Osage Drive address.

“Officers got there and they found a person down on the front porch with gunshot wounds to the front of their body,” TPD Sgt. Brandon Smith said.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he died.

His identity has not been released.

We're told a crime scene unit will figure out where the shooting took place and who fired the shots.
