TULSA, Okla. - Less than a month after the deadly LAX shooting, there were reports of a shooting at Tulsa International Airport today.
As soon as KRMG heard the scanner call, we took action. One reporter headed to the airport and others jumped on the phones.
As it turns out, there was a guy shot but he was shot weeks ago and was still hurting.
Airport officials tell KRMG that every incident gets a response. Airport spokesperson Alexis Higgins says, "We have to take every report as a serious report. Something as simple as seeing a box left unattended in the terminal is treated as if that box could contain an explosive device."
Higgins says airport officials would rather over-react than under-react.
No flights were delayed because of today's incident.
