This stuff is called the type H toxin and an injection of 2 billionths of a gram would kill an adult.
The substance is a form of the botulinum toxin, already the most deadly toxin on the planet.
At this point there is no antidote to the bug.
"This new toxin, H, cannot be neutralized by any of the currently available antibotulinum antisera, which means that we have no effective treatment for this form of botulism," one of the researchers wrote.
Scientists in California found the bad bug and are concerned enough to decide they will not release the DNA sequence out of fear it could be misused.
That step has never been taken with the other including when the other seven strains of botulinum were found.
Yahoo News reports the toxin was discovered in the feces of a child already suffering from botulism.
