TULSA, Okla. - A Sapulpa man pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography in federal court Monday.
Paul D. Edwards is a former Certified Public Accountant for local municipalities and school districts. He has been unemployed since 2008.
According to court documents, in October of 2011, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations office in Philadelphia was investigating people on an international website to distribute and collect child pornography.
Between February and March of 2013, investigators found log files from Russian law enforcement on a user profile that led them to Edwards’ home.
Investigators say they found 20,116 images and videos.
Edwards faces a maximum penalty of 20 years and a $250,000 fine.
