TULSA, Okla. - There's good news and bad news for fans of hamburgers made 'animal style.'
In-n-Out Burger wants to open a Tulsa location but its not happening anytime soon.
That's what KRMG found out after plenty of rumors this week about the popular chain opening a restaurant in Tulsa.
We called In-n-Out corporate headquarters to find out.
Carl Van Fleet, Vice President of Planning and Development for In-N-Out Burger, says the rumors aren't true. Van Fleet says, "We are not currently looking to expand beyond the 5 states in which we currently operate."
In-n-Out's web site lists those 5 states as California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Texas.
Van Fleet tells KRMG that Tulsa isn't in the restaurant chain's current plans but it is on the radar. Van Fleet says, "While we do hope to get to Tulsa at some point in the future, we’re not looking at any sites there now. If there was a rumor, we apologize for any confusion and we really want to thank you for checking with us to get the story straight."
To get your In-n-Out fix, you still need to drive 4 hours to the Dallas area.
