Author JK Rowling promised the boy wizard was finished once “he who shall not be named” was dead.
But now Rowling has announced there will be a play that tells us all about Harry’s life living under the stairs at his aunt and uncle’s house.
Rowling said the production will "explore the previously untold story of Harry's early years as an orphan and outcast."
Rowling said many offers have come her way for the prequel before deciding to work with producers Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender.
"Over the years I have received countless approaches about turning Harry Potter into a theatrical production, but Sonia and Colin's vision was the only one that really made sense to me, and which had the sensitivity, intensity and intimacy I thought appropriate for bringing Harry's story to the stage,"
There’s has been date announced for the production to begin. Likewise, no casting information has been released.
