Robbery suspect chased down by officers

A robbery suspect is spotted Monday afternoon near Pine and Harvard.

Tulsa police say officers told Charles Sanders to stop, but he took off running instead.

Officers then gave chase.  During this time, Sanders threw an object onto the roof of a nearby building.

Police say they eventually chased Sanders down and took him into custody.

They also recovered a knife he had thrown onto the roof.  It's believed the knife was used during a robbery of a nearby store earlier in the day.

Sanders is now in the Tulsa County Jail.  He faces a count of armed robbery.
