Rev. Al Sharpton returns to Tulsa this week

Tue, May 9, 2017 — Rev. Al Sharpton will be returning to Tulsa on Wednesday, as the trial of Officer Betty Shelby got underway on Monday.

Officer Shelby faces a manslaughter charge after she shot and killed Terence Crutcher back in 2016.

Sharpton will attend the Citywide Prayer and Call for Justice, which will take place at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame in downtown Tulsa at 6:30 p.m.

Sharpton previously visited our city back in 2016 for National Prayer Call for Justice march and rally.  During that time, he also donated $1,000 to Crutcher's children.

Do you think he helps in situations like this or does he just get in the way?
