Rat meat being passed off as lamb

First it was horse meat in Ikea meatballs in Europe and now rat is passing as lamb.
It was an entire crime ring that was passing off rat, fox, and even otter meat as lamb to buyers and it was profitable.
Estimates are the bad guys in China made about $1.6 million and included 63 people working the scam since 2009.
Cops said one of the keys to the scheme was covering the meat with red pigment and gelatin to make it look more like regular lamb.
Chinese citizens reacted with surprise and humor "how many rats does it take to put together a sheep?"
While some may find it funny the police are less amused.
There have been over 904 people arrested since January for what are termed “meat related crimes.”
