Raising Canes chicken fingers has had a mall location in Tulsa but today marks the first time fans can hit the drive through.
“It’s always been our plan to open in Tulsa, we feel like Tulsa is a great market for our brand” said Canes area manager Damon Thomas.
“With the population and the people that are there, it’s a very tight knit community there and we’re a company that believes in being part of the community” he continued
The store is just north of 51st street on Yale and Thomas told KRMG news it won’t be the last.
“We also have a location in Broken Arrow and we have a location in Bixby and Owasso as well and they’re all going to open this year.”
Thomas says there will be some freebies on grand opening day including T-shirts and food.
Fans of the restaurant are called “Caniacs” and many are willing to drive hundreds of miles out of their way to eat there.
We asked Damon to explain why people love them so much.
“We have an ability to develop a following of very loyal customers because we do one thing and we do it what we believe is better than anyone else.
Canes menu is limited to chicken fingers and sides but so far, it’s been more than enough to light a fire under one of the fastest growing franchises in America.
