A 75 year old and 66 year old were arrested at their senior citizen apartment and charged with running the “business.”
Cops say James Parham and Cheryl Chaney along with 54 year old Selma McDuffie were taken into custody on a variety of prostitution and drug charges.
After he was arrested Parham admitted to matching prostitutes who were addicted to crack with residents of the building.
The sting operation began when others in the complex began complaining about conditions there. Things like condoms left in the recreation room and drunken people wandering around.
Englewood police chief Arthur O'Keefe told The Record those living in the apartments were "essentially, they were prisoners in their own building, "I wasn't going to allow that to continue."
The complex requires a background check before moving in and all three who were arrested were said to have passed with no red flags.
