Price for gasoline takes leap late Monday

The price for gasoline is up by ten cents per gallon at some Tulsa area retailers late Monday.

KRMG texters tell us some gas stations raised their price for unleaded regular to $2.99 per gallon.

Not every retailer has posted a price increase yet, so you can still shop around for a lower price.

The reason for the price increase remains unknown, but there is the report that a budget deal may be imminent on Capitol Hill which could get the government back open for business before a deadline arrives on Thursday, October 17th, 2013.
