TULSA - Tulsa police are investigating a hit and run traffic fatality involving a woman who was crossing the street.
A driver struck her as she was crossing East Third Street at South Lewis Avenue about 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Police describe the suspect vehicle as a white Ford Windstar with front-end damage.
Wednesday, they released the name of the woman who died in the incident.
She was Angela Marie Young, 57.
Young was crossing the street with the assistance of a walker when the van struck her, then took off from the scene.
Police say surveillance footage leads them to believe the driver knew they had hit something or someone, but didn't stop.
That is a felony in the State of Oklahoma.
