Police release surveillance photo to help catch downtown Tulsa bank robber

Tulsa Police responded to the IBC Bank on the northeast corner of 5th and Main in downtown Tulsa  just before 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning after reports it had been robbed.

Tulsa Police confirm to KRMG that a man walked into the bank, placed a bag on the counter and told a teller that he was robbing the bank.

The teller complied with the robber's demands and the robber left on foot, heading north.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 40's. He is said to be 5'6"-5'8", medium build, weighing about 160 lbs. He was last seen wearing a grey stocking cap and a black sweatshirt with the word 'Everlast' on the front.

Tellers report that no weapon was seen. No one was injured.

Tulsa Police spokesman Ofc. Leland Ashley tells KRMG that he doesn't believe the bank had any security personnel on duty at the time of the robbery.

This is the second robbery of a financial institution in as many days.

Yesterday afternoon, TTCU the Credit Union at Pine & Cincinnati was robbed by a lone bandit. The suspect in that case was shot by a security guard as he was exiting the bank.
