Tulsa police receive a tip about the location of a suspicious vehicle near 15th and Riverside.
When officers arrived to the scene, they found the vehicle of Tulsa's 17th homicide victim.
"The vehicle found parked is (Robert) Sampson’s 1998 Ford Explorer," Sgt Dave Walker says. "We have recovered the vehicle and TPD Forensic Lab will process the vehicle for evidence."
The vehicle hadn't been seen since Sampson's murder was discovered on March 14th. Police say the vehicle had been parked along the street near 15th and Riverside for an extended period of time.
Officers are still looking for a homeless man who might have information regarding the murder. Police say John Vanwoudenberg knows what happened to the victim.
