Sapulpa police are looking for the driver who took a woman's car and led police on a chase.
We're told that the woman's car, a black Nissan Maxima, was stolen near 1500 South Main Street about 11:45 p.m. Monday.
Sapulpa Police Sergeant Ryan Mathias tells us that the woman "left it running, ran into the house for just a minute and when she came back out she heard the vehicle taking off."
Police spotted the car right away.
The speeding driver eventually entered a dead-end street on a cul-de-sac near 81st and New Sapulpa Road.
"The driver bailed while the vehicle was still rolling...and took off into the woods. Two passengers stayed in the vehicle."
Mathias also said that the passengers gave police conflicting stories about what actually happened.
Police are looking for the driver who was wearing blue jeans, a gray hoodie and a ball cap.
