Two stolen trucks, a high-speed chase, multiple accidents and the Tulsa Police K-9 all add up to a hectic afternoon for Tulsa Police.
TPD officers were investigating a pair of stolen trucks that were stolen from the Coweta area and were for sale on Craigslist.
A tip led officers to the area near 3rd and Lewis.
When officers arrived, two suspects took off with a man driving one truck and a woman driving the other.
Sgt. Todd Taylor tells KRMG that the male driver crashed nearby and was apprehended soon after.
The female driver led officers on a chase towards the east side of town. The driver turned around near Admiral and Memorial and headed back west.
Officers deployed stop sticks which shredded the truck's tires. The truck proceeded to run into another vehicle at Admiral and Yale and then again at Admiral and Delaware before turning south.
The truck, still driving on rims, lost control, crashed through a stop sign at 14th and Delaware before plowing into a tree just east of the intersection.
The female driver took off on foot and hid inside an abandoned house a few houses to the north of the intersection.
TPD's K-9 unit was called to get the suspect out of the house.
Sgt.Taylor says the female resisted and was slightly injured by the dog.
One occupant of one of the vehicles hit during the pursuit was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
