The man paced back and forth on the bridge structure while talking on his cell phone. After for a couple of hours he got hungry and asked for food.
Cops in Charleston, South Carolina went to Andolini’s to get a pepperoni pizza and some soda. Shortly after cops gave the man the pizza they were able to grab him and pull him back over the edge of the bridge.
Police would not reveal the man's name, age, or what he was despondent about.
Cops got the pizza from Andolini's in Mount Pleasant and their customers thought the pie being involved was pretty cool.
“Dude, your pizza is saving lives this morning,” one man told A.J. Cook as he arrived for lunch.
To top it off Cook didn’t charge the officers for the pizza.
“I figured he was doing a good deed, I might as well do him a good deed as well,” Cook told The Post and Courier.
See, good pizza is a life saver!
