People getting fewer Food Stamps today

People on Food Stamps are waking up this morning... with fewer benefits.

A temporary boost to the Food Stamp program from the 2009 stimulus bill, expired at Midnight.

In effect, it works out to be a cut of $36 a month for a family-of-four on Food Stamps.

GOP lawmakers in Congress would like to cut it even more..

They have a bill that would implement stricter work and income requirements before people could receive Food Stamps.

Democrats says it goes too far, but Republicans say Food Stamps should only go to the neediest Americans.
