Pedestrian in downtown Tulsa handed simulated bomb

Two men are in the Tulsa County jail after handing strangers a simulated bomb.

We're told the incident happened about 5 p.m. Monday in downtown Tulsa near Sixth and Boston.

Police say the victim was walking down the street when one of the suspects approached and handed the victim a bag that contained a simulated bomb.

Police tell us that the bag actually contained oil, pipe fittings and wiring.

We're told surveillance shows that the suspects were using a camera to record the reaction of the victim and then posted it on social media.

Police say the two suspects, 21-year old Nathan Michael Howe and 22-year old Daniel Blake Nix, have been arrested and will face state bomb hoax charges.

If more victims come forward, Howe and Nix could face additional felony charges.

Police tell us they're looking for three other suspects.

No one was injured.
