SKIATOOK, Okla. - A Skiatook mom didn't like being woken up by the cops after her son and some friends snuck out.
Holly Scoggins decided they needed some public humiliation.
Scoggins woke up several hours earlier than she had planned Saturday morning. Scoggins says, "I went to bed and then at 3:45, my doorbell is going off. It's the three policemen!"
Her son and some friends were having a sleep-over. They snuck out and ended up getting picked up by Skiatook Police on the other side of town. Scoggins says, "They were over by the Exchange Bank which is three miles from my house to holler at some girls."
That didn't sit too well with Scoggins. Scoggins says, "I'm not trying to be a grandma anytime soon. At age 13, 14... that's all they think with. All they're thinking about is girls, girls, girls!"
She decided some public humiliation was in order. Her son and one of the boys ended up on the corner of the busiest intersection in town holding signs that Scoggins made.
Those signs said: "I'm a follower. Peer pressure got me a ride home from the cops!" and "I think I'm grown so I snuck out and the cops took me home!"
KRMG asked Scoggins if shes worried about going to far. Scoggins says, "I'm wondering if this is enough. Maybe I need to go to 71st and Memorial or something so more hot girls can see them since they're so into girls."
