Papa John's murder suspects tell different stories about robbery

There's new information on the teenagers that were arrested Monday in the Papa John's homicide early Saturday at 11th and Delaware.

We're told Jermaine Savory claimed to police that he was driving when Damian Anderson and Frankie Jackson saw Robert Horton, got out of the car and tried to rob him, then shot him to death and got back in the car and took off.

"It's just a sad commentary of 17-year olds with guns trying to rob somebody. We're just one little trigger squeeze away from a tragedy and that's what happened here," Tulsa Police Sergeant Dave Walker said.

Walker said Anderson claimed that he was driving the car and the other two got out of the car to do the robbery.

Jackson only admitted to being inside the car driving around with Savory.

Walker told the News On 6 Monday that it felt good to call Horton's family in Texas and say that police had arrested the three 17-year olds.
