Pantless intruder breaks into elderly woman's apartment

An elderly Tulsa woman got a bad scare when police say a man wearing no pants broke into her apartment near 68th and Yale early Monday morning.

They say 23-year-old Jared Fletcher took a rock and smashed through a sliding glass door of the woman's apartment around 2:30 a.m. Monday morning.

When she heard the commotion, police say the woman fled the apartment through the front door.

When police got to the scene, they say Fletcher was still inside, still not wearing pants, and breaking furniture and other items.

"Not sure what this individual, y'know his thinking was, or his thought-pattern was, but we were glad this individual did not physically harm the elderly female who gave us a call," said Tulsa Police Officer Leland Ashley.

Fletcher was subdued by police using pepper-spray balls.

He could face charges of assault and battery on a police officer, first-degree burglary, and obstruction.
