Owasso city manager resignation accepted by city council

The Owasso city manager controversy is over.

The Owasso City Council voted to accept Rodney Ray's resignation at a special council meeting Tuesday night.

Owasso Assistant City Manager Warren Lehr was named as Ray's interim replacement.

Ray had been accused of ordering a traffic stop video involving Owasso Vice Mayor Chris Kelley to be erased.

Kelley was accused of driving under the influence of alcohol. 

We're told another issue was the improper handling of a donation from a police officer.

Also, Ray had been charged with writing a bad check, then making a false report about it to police.
