The Broken Arrow Police Department confirms former Broken Arrow football player Devon Thomas was arrested for armed robbery and shooting with intent to kill.
According to the arrest and booking report, Broken Arrow Police investigated the case in the 1100 block of East Madisonon on Tuesday, May 27. Thomas was arrested the enxt day.
The victim told police Thomas and three others robbed him at gunpoint. The robbers took his money, clothing and marijuana.BAPD says they are thinking this may have been a setup.
They suspects apparently told the victim to leave because they were about to “bust a cap.”
According to Broken Arrow Police, the victim was driving away when one of the suspects fired a round into the victim’s vehicle, just barely hitting the driver’s headrest.
All four suspects are facing those felony charges, it is not clear which of the four actually fired the shots.
Thomas is a freshman running back for the OSU Cowboys. Before committing to play in Stillwater, Thomas had offers from Oklahoma, Clemson and West Virginia.
