One dead in east Tulsa stabbing

Tulsa police told KRMG a 19-year-old man died after he was stabbed multiple times in east Tulsa.

Officers on the scene said there was a gathering of some sort near 41^st and Garnett Sunday night, but things turned violent when an argument between two men started.

The suspect, also 19 years old, was apparently approaching the party just before 9:30 p.m. when he was confronted down the street. The suspect then stabbed the victim multiple times in the upper torso, according to police.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The suspect initially fled the scene, but later returned and was arrested.

Police haven’t released any names and say they will be gathering witness accounts as well as cell phone video of the incident.
