Contrary to common stereotypes, AAA says elderly drivers actually practice some of the safer driving habits compared to their younger counterparts.
For starters, AAA says 90 percent of seniors use a seatbelt when driving.
Also, AAA says more than a third of seniors take a driver improvement course.
The CDC says the death rate is higher for senior drivers, but it says that has more to do with physical fraility than it does with a tendency to get into accidents.
