Oklahoma in secondary severe weather season

Spring and summer is when we usually have severe weather in Oklahoma.

But National Weather Service meteorologist Chuck Hodges tells us we cannot rule it out in October.

He says we have "at least a chance of some severe storms but we're mostly concerned with heavy rainfall potential especially down in the southeast part of the state and over into western Arkansas."

Hodges says Oklahoma currently is in its secondary severe weather season that can happen in late October.
