Based on violent crime statistics from 2012, Oklahoma is the 10th most dangerous state in the country.
A group called 24/7 Wall St. released the list and states the dramatic rise of rapes in Oklahoma as a major factor for breaking the top 10. The 1,588 reported rapes were the most in Oklahoma in 18 years.
24/7 Wall St. reports the Oklahoma's poverty rate, gang issues, and low education areas also contributed to the state making the top 10 list.
