Oklahoma attorney general fights back against 'rogue agencies'

Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt didn't pull any punches while talking to a congressional panel on Wednesday.

Pruitt called the IRS a "rogue agency."

He attacked the IRS by saying the agency is interpreting the law in a way Congress did not intend.

"Congress provided the choice to states and now the IRS is attempting to take that away by rule," Pruitt says.  "The IRS does not have the authority to expand access."

Oklahoma is one of 34 states opting not to create an exchange.  Pruitt says Gov. Mary Fallin and other leaders looked over all the data and made the informed decision to opt out.

One of his biggest criticisms about the law is how it effects Oklahoma business.

"It cripples businesses with onerous requirements and penalties," Pruitt says.
