It's official: Jar Jar Binks is more popular than Congress

A recent survey showed the Star Wars Episode 1 character is disliked by 37% of the people questioned.

In comparison, 69% of respondents disapprove of the job Congress is doing.

The study on Jar Jar, was conducted by Nate Silver’s site FiveThirtyEight.com.

Raw Story reports the congressional rating comes from a compilation of nearly 600 other polls and rating services.

When you combine the like/dislike ratings of the irritating movie creature, it comes to a -8 rating.

Do the same for Congress and you’ll discover a stunning mark of -57.

In other Star Wars news, FiveThirtyEight poll tested which character was the “most well-received.”

Luke Skywalker nosed out Han Solo by a single percentage point.
