NWS: Storms were predicted but fizzled in development

Severe weather fails to materialize overnight, but don't call it a bust just yet.

National Weather Service meteorologist Robert Darby tells us Tulsa still has a chance for storms.

Darby says, "We are seeing additional thunderstorms develop this morning and those could have some small hail with it."

Warm air aloft kept storms from developing last night, he said.

"The front was relatively shallow and didn't allow for thunderstorm development."

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Osage and Pawnee counties until 1 p.m. today.
