The first reports of a hole in the northbound right lane of highway 75 just before the bridge over the Arkansas river came just before 8:00 a.m. Listeners began texting KRMG with reports of the hole, and a long line of cars backed up.
Shortly after, one driver sent a picture of a tire they say was blown after hitting the hole.
KRMG's Russel Mills reports traffic goes all the way to I-44, with highway signs reporting the road has been brought to a standstill by the problem.
However, after driving that area of the road, including over the bridge, Russell found a baskegtball sized hole in the roadway. He also talked to the driver of a car that hit the hole, causing a flat tire.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation told KRMG crews are on the way to fix any problems they find.
