You get off work, go home and don’t think about your job until you go in the next day. Never happens, right?
Well it does now in France where bosses are now banned from e-mailing their employees outside of regular hours.
This is the result of Trade Unions, who represent workers in the tech industry, winning a lawsuit on the matter.
People in France already have it pretty easy, working only 35 hour work weeks. They also get six weeks paid vacation every year.
Critics of the new law say it will make it hard for company heads to do business overseas due to the time difference. One of the officials involved says they will make exceptions for cases like that.
They want employees to have the opportunity to unplug and not be “permanently at work.”
