New 'Deco Shop' serves growing downtown residential market

Part convenience store, part gift shop, a new store in downtown Tulsa called "The Full Deco" makes the most of its small space.

"It's in 200 square feet plus our counter and cash register, so it's interesting to stay the least," said co-owner Pat Kroblin.

The Full Deco opened recently at 15 East 5th Street, between Boston and Main streets.

It's geared to serve the ever-growing number of people who live in downtown, where there still aren't many places for people to buy basic necessities.

The small shop next to the alley on 5th Street offers an extensive variety for shoppers which includes valet items, gifts, jewelry, pain aides, made in Oklahoma products, snacks, drinks, greeting cards and even dog food.

"There are a  growing number of people who live in downtown that don't have many shopping options open to them, especially after 5:00 p.m." said co-owner Sarah Bryson.

The Full Deco is open from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

"We may even extend our hours to open earlier," said Bryson.
