National Guard to unveil new helicopters on Sunday

KRMG has learned the Oklahoma National guard will unveil four new UH-72A "Lakota" helicopters on Sunday.

The ceremony will take place at the Will Rogers Air National Guard Base in Oklahoma City.

They will mainly be used for disaster responses, medical evacuations, and firefighting command

The helicopter can carry up to nine passengers and two crewman.

Officials say each of the helicopters cost $5.5 million.

Air flight and maintenance crews have extensive experience with the UH-72A helicopters.
