Murdered student's father blames gun laws for UCSB killings

The father of one of six students killed during a shooting and stabbing rampage at the University of California, Santa Barbara, says his 20-year-old son Christopher Michaels-Martinez died because politicians have done nothing to strengthen gun laws.

Thousands gathered on campus today to mourn those killed by college student Elliot Rodger Friday before he killed himself.

Earlier yesterday, two California Assembly members proposed legislation that would create a gun violence restraining order that family and friends could ask a judge to issue.
