A Utah man that calls himself a "mountain man' is in police custody after a long run from authorities.
The man was on the run for six years as he was wanted for multiple crimes.
Troy Knapp is a suspect in dozens of burglaries of cabins in Utah.
Knapp, 45, encountered some hunters and bragged to them about being the elusive survivalist.
Those hunters went straight to the cops and help them track him down.
Police followed his tracks and found him at yet another cabin he had broken into.
When police found him there was a stand-off like situation that led to Knapp firing at a police helicopter.
It all ended when officers cornered him in a rural cabin using snowmobiles.
He knew he was caught and gave himself up peacefully at that point.
Officers say Knapp was even joking a bit with officers as they took him in saying, "Boy, you really snuck up on me."
When they surrounded him he threw his rifle into the snow and said "You got me!"
