Mother stabbed to death in front of children

Janett Reyna was found fatally stabbed in front of her three children inside her apartment in Blackwell Thursday morning.

At one time, Reyna was a police officer for the Blackwell Police Department.

The 29-year-old mother was rushed to an area hospital where doctors pronounced her dead.

Workers with the Department of Human Services put the children into protective custody until their father comes forward. No other family members are allowed the visit the children.

The Blackwell Police Department called in OSBI agents to help with the investigation.

Authorities are searching for the children's father, 29-year-old Luis Frias.

Frias is 29-years-old, 5’ 11” tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds.

He is believed to be on foot at this time.
