The man was found badly beaten in an alley Sunday morning.
Denzle Rainey had six broken ribs, a skull fracture and both arms were broken.
Forsythia Owen said she took a baseball bat to the homeless man while he was sleeping because her daughter said he "touched and sexually abused her."
ABC 7 in Denver reports before Owen was arrested she took to Facebook and wrote "going to prison!" on her page.
Denver police say Owen is not a stranger to them.
The woman has a history of arrests for assault including one involving an officer.
Rainey's wife admitted her husband had a problem with alcohol but doesn’t believe he would have improperly touched a child.
"I don't think my husband is doing that," she told ABC 7.
"I think she is covering up for somebody. And I want to know: What was the real reason why she did that to my husband? He doesn’t deserve to be dead right now."
