More traffic backups expected near Woodland Hills Mall

Traffic is about to get worse near one of Tulsa's busiest intersections.

Crews started street repairs Monday at the intersection of 71st and South 89th East Avenue.

That's also the mall entrance on the southeast side.

Several lanes will close, including some entrances to Woodland Hills Mall.

Mall entrances from South Memorial Drive will not be affected and are recommended as alternatives.

The concrete repairs will take two weeks if the weather cooperates.
